When I started my business, like many, I was eagerly willing to photograph anyone and everyone that asked. I was truly the jane of all trades and master of none. As "specialism" soon became the buzz word in the industry, I decided to create my own niche and only offer one type of session. Although it was a smart move in comparison to taking on everything that came my way, I slowly began to learn the value of not just choosing a type of session, or offering just one specific product, but choosing to work with a certain type of client. I could know what I offered inside and out, but not knowing who it was actually for kept my business from growing! When I began to focus on my client first, I learned how to better offer my creative service. I learned to speak her language, know her style better than my own, and see each of her needs as an opportunity to provide a memorable experience with my brand. I began to serve her. In this presentation, we are going to be talking about finding and serving your ideal client, and how to create a brand experience from the moment they first land on your website, to when that final product or service is in their hands, and even beyond that! I will be sharing with you how to define and know who your ideal client is, how to better attract them to your brand, and how to keep them! At the end of this teaching, you are going to no longer think of client experience as just fancy packaging, gifts, or a feeling of luxury- but you will have a better understanding of how to connect with your clients on a deeper level that will create a brand experience entirely unique to you, and endlessly beneficial to the growth and profit of your business.
FINDING & SERVING YOUR IDEAL CLIENT
Hi! I'm Tiffany Farley- I am a photographer, and the founder of a The Fount Collective- a submission blog and newly launched lifestyle publication devoted to the art of being a mother. I graduated a four year Bible College in 2006 with a degree in Theology and Christian Education for Children, and went on to pursue my Masters in Pastoral Counseling. A semester from finishing, I found myself longingly looking at creative business owners; navigating these often confusing feelings of missing out on what I was born to do. To make a long story short, I traded in my last semester for a camera, and God has spent the last 5 years redefining what "ministry" can really look like! As a photographer of motherhood and family, I am welcomed into the homes and lives of people all over the country (and even internationally this past year!) to document deeply meaningful portraits that will share a story of their family for generations. Goodness, what a privilege!
I now live in Yarmouth, Maine and enjoy as much time as possible spent here on the rocky coast. Salty ocean air, Bean boots, lobster rolls on the boat, Florida Georgia Line, and a good mug of locally roasted coffee are just a few of my favorite things.
